Something to consider when purchasing your travel insurance is whether you are buying primary or secondary coverage. Primary will pay before other policies under which you might be covered, where as secondary coverage will require you to first file with your existing medical, auto, etc as the case may be (not convenient if you’re traveling!). If you or your travel mate has serious health issues consider buying travel insurance. Be prepared to keep accurate records of all communication with your travel insurance agency. Be sure you keep all receipts.
